Spanish Immersion Advisory Board Purpose
The Spanish Immersion Advisory Board is a group made up of parents, educators, students, and administrators of the MURSD created to provide support to the Spanish immersion program in our District.
Our main goal is to focus on the promotion, improvement and growth of the program, using different perspectives and experiences. We meet quarterly and discuss how to promote, support and improve the program. We also create several events around the year to inform families in our school district, share the love of learning Spanish (and other languages) and celebrate different cultures around the world. As it is an advisory board, it does not make decisions about district programming; however, it is a working group to help to engage members of the community to help S.I. continue to thrive.
All of our meetings are open meetings for participants to come and learn about our programming. We also welcome new members who are willing to commit their time and ideas as active participants of the Spanish Immersion Advisory Board. If you are interested in being an active board member, reach out to Meagan Pike, our Spanish Immersion Coordinator for more information.
