Srta. Herrera My name is Elisa Herrera. This is my fourth year with the Mendon-Upton Regional School District and my fourteenth year teaching. I am a visiting teacher from Spain and I have been working as an Elementary school teacher in bilingual programs in Spain and Florida before coming to Massachusetts. The Visiting Teachers in the USA and Canada Program is an international cooperation program supported by the Ministry of Education/Embassy of Spain and school districts across the United States. Before becoming a part of the Mendon-Upton team, I graduated from University of Cordoba with a degree in Elementary and Music Education and currently, I am taking a Master’s of Special Needs Teaching. In my spare time I like hiking, cycling and practicing yoga. |
Sr. Dominguez
My name is Santiago and I am a third grade Spanish teacher at Memorial School. I studied at the Complutense University of Madrid, where I got my Teaching Degree, specializing in physical education and a Master's Degree in Psychopedagogy. I am from Spain, I am married and I have four children. I have been teaching for more than 12 years in different schools in Spain and the United States of America. We had a very good professional and family experience in the state of Texas (Dallas), where we were living and working for 3 years and we wanted to repeat now in Massachusetts, where I feel fortunate to be working in the district of Mendon-Upton. I have worked with students from 7 to 12 years old in Spanish and English. From mathematics to physical education, among other subjects. I like my students to learn as much as possible and also have fun. I am convinced that the mix of both is the best way to teach. |
